The 4th Japanese Language Table

3/31/2017

Today was the 4th Japanese Language Table, the last for the semester. Ten Doshisha student volunteers participated with us.

Today’s Language Table was planned as a hanami even, but…

Too bad! The trees are still budding.

However, as they say, “hana yori dango (dumplings over flowers)” — a Japanese proverb meaning necessities come before trivial things. We had doughnuts!

Wow, delicious!

Kane-san brought oreos and peanut butter. Apparently, it’s delicious if you eat them together!

“Delicious!” It was the volunteers’ first time trying such a thing.

Peace!

Volunteers, thank you for coming on this rainy day!
