Emergency Drill

Today we held an emergency drill.

First, we listened to the teacher’s lecture, learning words like kouzui (flood) and doshasaigai (landslide).

After that was the practice drill.

Going under desks and using bags to cover their heads…
…and going under chairs if they didn’t have a desk, the students protected their bodies.
In a real situation, you would turn off any stoves or gas that might be on, but since the drill was in a classroom, we instead turned off the lights.
Now let’s get out of here!
Moving to a safe place.
Everyone made it safely to the meeting place at the Imperial Palace. Should any disasters happen, let’s make sure to meet here.
