Some grabbed a few seconds to eat,
Ohno Sensei, Hanna and Amber posed for a photo,
and Professor Best (Wesleyan) wished he was still in bed.
We had our own bus, complete with a guide,
and a sign in the window, so we could find it again

It took awhile, with almost 50 people . . .
but finally, everyone was on board, and ready to go!
When we reached Konpira, we were glad to strech our legs . . .

Then it was time to climb up to Konpira-san, journey of over 1000 steps to reach the main shrine building!
And then, when we reached the top,
we had to climb back down again!

The first night, we stayed at Dogo Onsen on the island of Shikoku. Both students . . .
