Some grabbed a few seconds to eat,

We had our own bus, complete with a guide,

and a sign in the window, so we could find it again

It took awhile, with almost 50 people . . .

but finally, everyone was on board, and ready to go!

When we reached Konpira, we were glad to strech our legs . . . (Carmen and Hanna)

Then it was time to climb up to Konpira-san, journey of over 1000 steps to reach the main shrine building!

And then, when we reached the top,

we had to climb back down again!

The first night, we stayed at Dogo Onsen on the island of Shikoku. Both students . . . (Reid, David and Nick)

and faculty relaxed in the hot springs, and modeled the inn's lovely yukata for the cameras. (Yoshimura Sensei and Hubbard Sensei in front.)
