In addition to a strong and dedicated professional language staff, the Associated Kyoto Program also selects a number of faculty from member institutions to serve as Visiting Faculty Fellows. These faculty members offer electives courses in their areas of specialty and provide AKP students with a strong curriculum of courses on Japan.

The AKP also assists the Doshisha American Studies program by offering fellowships to faculty from member institutions to offer lectures or courses for Doshisha students.

AKP Faculty Fellowships:

Visiting Faculty Fellows are generally Japan specialists who offer courses on Japan at the AKP Center on the Doshisha University Campus. The application deadline for the next AKP Visiting Faculty Fellows Program (Fall or Spring Semester of 2011-2012) is June 4, 2010. Click here for an Elective Course history.

American Studies Fellows are American Studies scholars who teach students in Doshisha University's Graduate School of American Studies. Applications for the American Studies Faculty Fellowships (April 2010 - July 2010 or September 2010 - February 2011) are due on October 16, 2010.
