Alumni Connections

In our 33 year history, almost 1200 students have participated in AKP. We believe that the friendships and bonds you develop while a student on AKP are strong and important to maintain. In order to help you keep in touch with old friends, we have developed the online AKP Alumni Database. Every person who ever attended AKP is listed by year and home institution, and there is space for you to add your email address, current activities and location.

To get your username and password, please contact the Program Administrator. Once you are logged in, you can search for people by name, year, home institution and current location, as well as edit and update your own information.

Alumni Forum

If you'd like to post a message to the AKP alumni community, please use the Alumni Forum. AKP alumni are doing an amazing range of things today, personally and professionally, and most of us are happy to share our experiences with fellow alumni. So, if you are looking for advice about grad school (not just Japan related, but also law, medical and others), teaching in Japan (JET and other options), how to start your own business, or anything else, please utilize the Forum. Similarly, if you know of a position that might be of interest to AKPers, by all means, post it on the Forum.

You will need to login to the Alumni Database to view and post messages. After you login, just click on the "Visit Alumni Forum" link. We hope the Forum will enable AKP alumni from different years to make contact with each other and to seek and give advice, and to thereby create a strong and viable alumni network.

We also keep addresses etc, in a local database, so please send detailed contact info to the office by submitting our online alumni questionnaire.
