Spring Field Trip

3/8/2017

We had our Spring Field Trip from March 8th through the 10th.

Himeji

Hiroshima

Miyajima

Everyone had a great time!

First was Himeji.

Faden-sensei told a Himeji Castle ghost story.

Jump! In front of Himeji Castle

Of course, we also went inside the castle.

Next was Hiroshima. We listened to a lecture from atomic bomb survivor, Teramoto Takashi. Thank you very much.

Then, the ferry to Miyajima…

Yamane-sensei spoke of Jigozen, an area near Miyajima with connections to Japanese-Americans.

Everyone rode the ferry!

The giant torii gate. We had great weather.

Later at the ryokan, everyone had a Japanese style dinner.

“What’s that?”

After dinner, there was a taiko demonstration!

On the bus home, we played bingo!

This week, everyone returned to focusing on their studies. Do your best!
