Kansai-ben Lecture for Spring Students

Today, we had the first in a series of lectures on Kansai-ben (Kansai dialect) for Spring semester students. Our lecturer was Nishimata-sensei from the Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies.

“Ji” becomes “jii.” “Me” becomes “mee.”

What does “akan” mean?

Make sure to practice Kansai-ben at home with your host family!
